Ok... This is more of the story.. The day started out with me and my dad riding from FL to GA to get his motorcycle so we could both go to NC and surprise my cousin who is a Marine returning home after being away for months! My dad and I passed a truck numbered 381 on our way north so I knew it was going to be an interesting day. (381 is a sign from my older brother) We smiled about it and rode on. As we rode through SC, my motorcycle started losing power. My dad didnt notice Id fell behind and kept going. I stopped and was recording my dad minutes later riding back to me on the wrong side of the road. He got nervous that something bad happened to me and headed back the quickest way he knew how to check on me. Luckily I was fine, but as my dad pulled up, so did a cop! What are the chances lol the cops took my dads license, reg and ins and asked him wtf he was thinking. My dad explained what he was doing and why, as did I, and the cop checked out my dads info and called for a backup cop to come. My dads paperwork checked out fine, then the cops called for a 3rd backup! They started going through their trunks getting tools to help us take my backseat off and get to my battery and help us clean the terminals and make good connection so I could ride away! They stayed until we were all good to go and made sure we were safe even getting to a nearby gas station! My dad asked the cops numerous times while we were fixing my bike... Are we holding you up? The cops replied, Not at all, this is our job, regardless of what you see on cops and on tv, our job is helping people and I said HOLY COW thats what Ive always thought too, but living in a small town where cops bust balls over nothing, and mixed with what you see on tv, we forget that cops are supposed to HELP PEOPLE. I told the cops all about EPIC GOOD and how were trying to inspire people to help others, and make good choices, and be a GOOD person and raise awareness of random acts of kindness and paying it forward. They slapped the stickers all over their clipboards right away! So I thought Id take a picture with these fine officers and shed a little positive light on Law Enforcement and show that just because the media can twist and turn and exploit a certain situation, doesnt mean EVERYONE is like that! Salute to GOOS cops out there doing GOOD by people everyday, protecting and serving. Thanks guys! Feel free to share and spread this story for others to read and see! #epicgood #kingag3 #381
