Ok everyone I need your help. My cousin Amy Paulhus made this quilt when my son was a little baby (30 years ago). He has handed this down to his son and wants to have it fixed. The backing is coming apart from front and batting is bad. My thoughts are do I untie it, put new backing and batting on it? The fronts s getting somewhat thread bare so, perhaps fusible interface on wrong side of front. This quilt means a lot to me, my son and grandson, so I want to preserve it as much as I can. There are pictures of quilt and my grandson who is anxious about his quilt. Any helps/hints would be appreciated.
