Ok gang, know youre not bronc riders for the most part, but you can see how quickly things can get dangerous and life threatening. Always take whatever safety precautions you can. People laugh or roll their eyes when I teach buy your boots too big so your feet will come out of them; no English tall boots here at practice (only competition) and same goes for half chaps. If I get hung up, I want my foot to come out of that boot...... let the boot go with the horse and saddle. (Not that it could have stopped this wreck) Hey, if I can keep someone safe, its worth sticking my neck out and getting crap comments. Many people dont realize how quick it can turn bad! Sometimes you just hv to see it. Of course Im sure you horse would never ........ (fill in the blank), but what abt equipment failure? Spooking? Tripping? (Huff puff......stepping off soap box) Thank you.
