Ok, here comes rant; I really really hate when teachers assign shitty books as course material. Reading a book now that is so generic, completely lacks a critical stance to its own content, and feel completely out of touch with the world (it was published last year, yet in the book they predict that by 2013 we would have been out of this recession...) The whole book ends with Will the future be scenario one, two or three? Or will it be quite different from any of them? We cannot be sure, but the trends outlined in this book suggest that major changes lie ahead. It depends on you more than it has anytime before in history. The changes will not come from the top of society, but from the many - from you and me. Let us meet the future as a friend, not as an enemy. Excuse me while I go puke because of OD of cliches. This is supposed to be a university, why am I forced to read such BS?
