Ok here goes... Be nice please... BRANDING : Freeze or Fire (hot) as opposed to microchipping. I have spoken to people who I consider very reputable and asked their advice and am very appreciative of their opinions and all have been quite different and honest. Jim and I are contemplating branding and would like other breeders views if you are happy to share your thoughts. The reason behind this is to always be able to have our babies identifiable and to have anyone trace them back to us. Microchipping is becoming very popular however I need convincing that either stock sales or vets when visiting a horse for the first time can or will scan them for microchipping to ensure who the registered owner is? Your thoughts please..... Oh and before we start NO OH THATS CRUEL... Im not interested in that view... Its having my babies identified and traceable thats important to me not a fewseconds of their lives. Gelding and giving birth is more painful so please dont go there!
