Ok heres an update. Emirates private messaged me, following my FB post, requesting my email address & the voucher number. A promising start to the return message a very short time later as followed:- Hi Jane, Thanks for providing the details. In normal circumstances, a name change is not permitted to a denied boarding voucher. As an exception, we have coordinated your request with the dedicated team that handles the denied boarding options; however, we regret to inform that your request cannot be honored. Let us know if you have any further queries. Kind regards, Neilwin Emirates Facebook Team Well needless to say I got my hopes up for Mum & Dad & Simon fruitlessly. :( I did reply by FB asking if they needed a death certificate to prove our case but they are now ignoring any further contact. I have NO idea why they even bothered asking for my email address - maybe to block me if I try emailing? FRUSTRATION / LACK OF EMPATHY / IGNORANCE WHAT NEXT?
