Ok, more on my rant from yesterday! Im going to be evaluated by how a 10 or 11 year old tests. We take the reading benchmark today, one young man takes the test in less than 5 minutes. He tells me oh its so easy, Ive double checked my answers. He scores a wopping 37%. I cannot control how the student decides to take the test. But my job will depend on how well the students test. Does a doc get evaluated if the patient doesnt follow directions? Does a police officer, defense attorney, and judge get evaluated if the criminal doesnt do what the officer, attorney, and judge tell him/her what to do and they commit another crime? No. So why evaluate teachers with higher standards, but pay them and treat them like second hand citizens? You wonder why you cant keep teachers in our STATE? Pay, Benefits, and Poor Treatment!!! Wake up Oklahoma! Your fixing to lose a lot of teachers!!! Just saying!
