Ok, rarely do I give my opinion on things, so here goes. I have read and heard women talk about/ridicule R. Rices wife regarding the domestic violence that occurred a few months ago. Rather than ridicule a person who is being abused in a relationship, its more beneficial and helpful to be a support to that person (to get he/she help and out of the abusive relationship). Abuse not only effects the person being abused, but it also effects the child(ren) whom may witness the abuse, become abused, and even worse, may become violent and grow up to be an abuser. Abuse is a cycle and can be generational. Im far from perfect but I can honestly say there is peace in my home. As a parent, I understand and realize that every decision that I make and every action I take centers around making sure my son is taken care of and is safe. Im my sons role model. With that being said, I can not and will not allow violence in my home!!!!!! We should not allow it either and do a better job with being a support to those who are being abused. You never know how your words or actions can help or save a person in a violent relationship. There is help out there. There are numerous hotlines to call and resources for persons whom are being abused and need assistance.
