Ok, seems a few people are getting all crazy about the competition to win the pickups. FOR THOSE THAT DIDNT READ IT CORRECTLY, HERE IT IS: WHEN WE HAVE A PERIOD OF 24 HOURS WITH NO COMMENTS, THE LAST PERSON WHO COMMENTED WINS. or, as it was originally (and still is) worded: Rule 2. The winner, will be the last person to comment within a 24 hour period. EG: If there are no comments for a 24 hour period, the last person to comment WINS. or, the bit I ADDED to the end (without changing anything else in the picture comments) around thirty minutes ago, that has been the reason a handful of guys have threatened me: edit: TO CLARIFY... THE WINNER WILL BE THE PERSON WHO COMMENTS LAST, WHEN NO FURTHER COMMENTS FOLLOW FOR A 24 HOUR PERIOD (Caps to get your attention) I can assure you, people will soon be tired of commenting, and it will no longer be showing in your feeds. Then we can see who lasts... Personally, when I discussed this idea with some of my closer clients, we all figured it would last for a week or so... but we never expected the number of comments weve had so far (I guessed 500 in 12 hours!) No rules where changed. Some people just read them wrong and went crazy. If it is bad form that you have misread the rules and are now threatening to leave this page, Im cool with that. All Im doing is giving away something unique which EVERYONE has a chance of winning, rather than make people: 1. post a video of a tune or solo, 2. buy a product to enter, 3. or even share the pic, 4. etc etc etc For those people who have threatened me... get a life. I wont ban you, just play cool, yeah? I figured this would be fun. I didnt do it for exposure, otherwise I would have asked you to share it. Remember, you are one of 110,000+ people that are a fan of this page... your chances of being the last man standing are slim. Better odds than lotto though! Thanks to all the wonderful comments from those that read the rules and saw it as a fun idea. You guys are what makes my job awesome, and I appreciate all the support you guys give me on a daily basis. Ultimately, this competition is for YOU. As for the value, based on the regular pickup prices, plus the extra time to inlay and use timber, they would be $800+/- worth.... they are EXTREMELY TIME CONSUMING TO MAKE. Certainly worth sticking around for, but definitely not something Im in a rush to make again... it was hell to inlay them! ---- Now..... if the craziness continues, and it looks like no end is in sight, THEN, and ONLY THEN, will I consider changing the rules, and setting a time frame to end it. But, lets just see how it plays out, huh? This will be the first, last, and ONLY status update until there is a winner. I DO NOT want to encourage more people going crazy and commenting, I just wanted to clear the air.
