Ok, so I have a dual-lens dash cam that is recording at all times in my car. On this morning, September 24th 2014, my camera documented (mostly audio) of a raccoon escaping from its carrier while I was traveling down the Interstate at about 75 mph near the Michigan/Ohio border. For various legal reasons, Im not going to get into all the impertinent details of why exactly we were transporting a raccoon in our car, but all involved feel that it was for the greater good and thats plenty enough for us. If you listen very carefully, you can clearly hear the raccoon sniffing around as she has obviously has completed her Houdini escape and she begins to approach the front seat via the center console between the front driver and passenger seats. When we both noticed that the raccoon was loose, I immediately tried to pull over as fast as I could and Laurel wrangled the raccoon into her lap to protect me from the pending attack on my face and my jugular (nah...). My first instinct after getting stopped was just to run and not look back and not stop, but Laurel was still holding her, so I got my shit together and we got it back in its raccoon carrier. As an extra layer of security, we put the carrier into a large igloo cooler. She was almost out again in less than a minute, so we went to a store and got her a hard plastic carrier that she was not able to escape from again. Good times! David Lee Roth is being interviewed on Howard Stern in the background.
