Ok...so a question from a non-hunter...... Im not really big into hunting, kind of lost my taste for trigger pressing on living things over the years but I want to be still able and prepared to if I need to. So my question is.....what do you hunters suggest as a good caliber rifle that I can hunt (primarily deer, maybe elk but if things are bad enough, everything) with? Im looking for a rifle that is AR style i.e. pistol grip, multi-round magazine etc (just because its what Im used to) and a caliber thats easy to get, and to get a lot of. Ive got my AR-15 and my secondaries already. Ive heard 308 but Im curious to hear what you guys think. And yes, Im in the market for one. Thanks in advance.
