Ok, so before anyone starts posting stuff about the cold snap covering much of the country with posts like So much for global warming!, it should be pointed out that a very intense cold wave and ice storm DOES NOT invalidate climate change. In fact, the intensity of these storms, the historic ice event, actually backs up the idea of climate change because storms are becoming more intense than before. Since temperatures are calculated on a global scale, it makes sense that winters will be more intense as the climate changes. Just saying.
