Ok, so copper burns a beautiful color... Why the hell wont it melt? I feel like the burny stage is a bit past the melty stage. Tried torch melting. Almost worked. Used oxy propane. Got portions to melt before they blew away in the pretty bright yellow stage. Just tried heating the crucible with the copper in it using charcoal and straw. Jesse told me once that straw was the hottest thing there is. With the crucible glowing orange the copper would flare a beautiful green, but just burned off. What am I missing here?
