Ok so for everyone wondering how I got the lock so cheap. First step was rack spacers 1 bolt on spacer on the passenger side & 1 slip on spacer on the drivers side I bought a spacer kit for $30 from a local Performance shop but these kits can be purchased on ebay for $40 including Post and gktechs for $50 including post. Mine have been on the car for a while and have not broken yet so cheap quality is no issue. Second step 350z z33 inner tie rod ends, the reason for this is they bolt straight on & are a bit longer then the z32 ones. I got mine for $50 from someone who had to replace a rack on their 350z but you should be able to pick some up fairly cheap or if you cant should still get good results with z32 ones. Step three I shaved the bump stops enough to get full rack travel but didnt cut them completely off as the rack would bottom out every time I hit lock which is quite regularly. I wouldnt recommend shaving the stops If you want to do it on a daily as the police might get cranky if they notice. Cost $0 if you have access to a grinder. Now everyone knows my secret haha Still have a few ideas that I want to try in the near future to see how much lock I can get without custom knuckles etc.
