Ok, so for those that know me, I am a night hawk and I guess I have been that way (or at least not a morning person) since I was a kid. My parents always remind me how they had to drag me out of bed for school or church in the mornings and blamed it on being born at 2:30 in the afternoon. That said, I went to see a sleep specialist and had a sleep study done a couple weeks ago. I got the results today and thank God I do not have apnea or RLS, just delayed sleep syndrome. The doctor recommended that I shift my shift and do not work at night anymore so that my brain will get used to shutting down at night so I dont have insomnia, even when I am not working. I told him that I had no problems sleeping in Hawaii as they are 6 hours behind us and woke up naturally on my own around 6 am (noon our time) and went to sleep without any problems. He said another option is that I could move to Hawaii....Yeah buddy! Whos coming with me? On a serious level though, any suggestions on how to go from being very productive at night (AKA a night hawk, which is amazing bc the world is asleep and I get a lot done without so many distractions) to a normal morning bird?
