Ok, so on my way back from my Russian class there was this middle-aged gentleman out next to the quad preaching about Jesus and God. Now, I have no problem with that, and he wasnt causing trouble, so no big right? Well, it was fine until this punk college kid throws down his backpack and starts yelling about how the Gentleman is wrong and has no right to tell him he needs saving, or whatever. And I was really kind of pissed, because here was this man, doing no harm in his preaching, and then this kid starts making a scene and yelling ignorant and disrespectful things at this man. Frankly, I wanted to stop and smack some moral sense into this kid because he was only proving how much more of an ass he is than the polite preacher. My point being; I dont care if you are an Atheist, Agnostic, Catholic, Christian, Muslim or whatever, if you respect me Ill respect you. And you, college kid, should have the sense to display such decency. If you have a problem with that mans preaching, you should have just walked away and kept it to yourself. I myself am an Agnostic, but I have no beef with other religions, unlike this prick I saw today. That preacher was there for those who cared to listen, he had no intention of picking fights with pretentious adolescents. With the way you acted towards that Gentleman today, I would think you actually might need Jesus, and become part of a religious group that will teach you some common courtesy. So you, obnoxious college student, I dont care if youre an upperclassman. If I see you making noise again and verbally attacking peaceful preachers, like I saw today, I will gladly kick your ass into next Tuesday. Just because Im a freshman does not mean I am afraid to put you in your place. Period.
