Ok...sooo...finger update time! Heh heh heh! No nasty pictures this time, all the pictures are clean. Finger is healing up nicely. The only area that hasnt healed yet is right behind the nail. All the rest of the finger has scarred up nicely. Have 3 nicely puckered scars that I will have to work on getting them to reduce by using the finger. The middle knuckle of the finger has been able to regain about 90% of motion so far while the end knuckle (the one that was shattered) has only regained about 10%. It seems like the biggest problem is that the finger wasnt used for such a long period. The tendons and ligaments now have to be stretched and used, multiple times a day. I have been able to sit and play piano again, so I know that that will get better as time goes on. Finger is still too swollen to fit between the black keys easily, so that will get better as it heals and the blood flow diminishes. Biggest problem is getting the finger reintegrated into everything I do, rather then holding it off to protect it. I think that will probably fix it the most. I have another Drs. appt. on Thursday, which will be the last with this Dr, as he was a temp while another Dr was on vacation. Thank you all for your prayers. They have definitely been effective.
