Ok thought about this over and over before I post .......but here it goes Im not interested in seeing the movie Selma Im very happy for the woman director and the cast and will wait until it comes on cable My problem is how many Dr Martin Luther king films, Documentaries, plays books etc are we going to see......who keeps green lighting these passive ..we gonna be alright prouductions.....this doesnt take away from how great Dr King was When are the Oprah or Spike Lee of the world are going to make movies of black people who didnt tolerate discrimination or who wasnt passive When is someone black or white is going to do the Nat Turner story or those slaves who revolted on the middle passage ........all Im saying there are so many more true stories out there As a kid I believe Ive seen over 20 different king type of coverage and dont let it be a civil rights movie .....you better believe there will be a King piece in there............Oprah, Spike Lee, Tyler Perry and to all the directors getting the green light on Life Time........Lets get that Nat Turner story going Again Dr King was an incredible human being.....happy bday .......
