Ok yall, I love you and I care about you and since we have had approximately 100 local earthquakes ranging from 1.1 to 5.3 in the last 12 hours, I am going to post a list of suggested supplies to have in case of the big one: * Fresh drinking water (3-5 gallons per person/day) * Canned and dry/dehydrated food (up to 5 day supply) * Battery powered flashlights/lanterns * Battery powered radio or television * Complete first-aid kit * Sturdy shoes with thick soles * Extra pair of clothes/glasses * Fire extinguisher * Toiletries including moist towelettes and anti-bacterial soup * Plastic utensils * Sleeping bags, tent, blankets, and bedding *Work gloves * A list of important phone numbers * Cash * Matches stored in a waterproof container * Extra prescription medication * Rain gear (you never know, it might be the worst day ever) * Sword (as per Caitlins suggestion) Keep everything packed in a sturdy container. In case of structural damage, it is advised to have multiple preparedness kits in various places around the house or even in the car. Hey, earthquakes cannot be predicted and we know were expecting a big one due to an accumulation of built up energy at the San Andreas fault line and plate boundary. All the recent rumblings have been from the Whittier fault but you can never be too careful. *data.scec.org/recent/recenteqs/Maps/Los_Angeles.html
