Okanagan Forecast: Sunny Weekend Weather update: Friday July 25th 2014 4pm Woot its Friday - what are your plans this weekend? Spotty showers are falling this Friday afternoon in the Columbia, Shuswap, and North Okanagan regions, but these showers will cease by tomorrow. An upper ridge with warmer air will push in from the south this weekend bringing temperatures back up above seasonal by early next week. Sunshine will be in the forecast over the weekend, and sun is also in the long range forecast as weather models are pointing to another blocking pattern that will set up over most of Western Canada. This type of blocking pattern, known as the Omega block, means that there is the possibility for very little change for at least several days. So if you like hot and dry weather conditions – then you’re going to like the Omega block. Saturday’s High: 21 to 30C Sunday’s High: 24 to 33C ~Duane/Wesla
