Okay- sharing my start of this new All Hallows Moon Dust project... And- I cant remember or find the post where I was yapping with someone, about details and getting tiny details and line work done.. Was it you Amy Jo Adams- Gentile?? I think so- but anywho!!! Sharing this with you- and others.... Due to the amount of detail- espeically in the little pumpkins in this new piece- and the eyes and teeth and such- and of course the lettering Im going to be doing... I decided to change up my technique some... Normally I punch with 3 strands- and normally I do my linework with all 3 and sometimes- do 2 lines ( rows ) for the linework.. Wellll- I decided- for this project- all tiny and smaller areas are going to be punched with 2 strands, mixing colors of course for some parts- and Ill only do one very tight and precise line - for the line work, and tiny details ( such as teeth, eyeballs, the pumpkin stripes- etc... Got to tell ya!!! This is perfect.. It takes more thread- or so it may seem- or more loading if you are like me- doing diff. colors mixing and such.. And it does take a lot of color changes- depending on how much detail- but this is so worth it... Just sharing a few pics of my start and my Ah Hah- no more over punching line work moment... Oh- and it keeps it much cleaner- so you dont have as much threads coming out of your needle- thus making it easier to punch tighter- and much cleaner!!! NOW- I am sharing and going to check on my horses and going to bed.. Catch all of yas on the flip side!!! :) Oh- and sharing front and back views.. There will be much more when I share the next pics :) Just wanted to share some tips!!!
