Okay, Captain America 2, redux. The overall story-line for the film was pretty good; I really enjoyed what they did with it, and found it and its implications very interesting. The Falcon was great, easily one of my favorite parts of the movie. Robert Redford was also excellent in his role, but that was really to be expected, wasnt it? Cobie Smulders returns once again as Agent Maria Hill, and is awesome in her role as well. Once the action gets going in the third act, she is very believable when it comes to handling herself in those action scenes. I liked the Winter Soldier, I thought he was well executed in this movie, but Im not sure the movie should have been named after him, as hes barely in it, and little more than a plot device to move the real story along; think Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace... Come to think of it, Captain America: The Phantom Menace would have been a pretty accurate title as well. All the reviews/reports of how this movie drastically re-shifts the Marvel movie universe are not wrong. This movie has lasting implications, and I think the best place to see that will actually end up being the TV show, Agents of SHIELD. Some great call backs to the first movie, and other movies/characters. A number of blink/dont listen for a moment and youll miss it things. I did feel like this was more of a story that probably should have had more Avenger involvement; theres something that specifically would be a major issue (Major Issue! *salutes*) for Tony Stark. As I said before, 2 thumbs-up for fun an excitement, and 4.5 stars. I took .5 off because the political commentary, while interesting, was a little heavy handed, and there were a couple things I thought could have been handled better. *cough*Peggy Carter*cough* Oh, and yes, theres a second extra scene at the very end of the credits. Its not really a MUST SEE, but knowing what it is adds a little bit of, Ah, thats nice/cool to the final outcome.
