Okay, I have been thinking about this for a while, and am deciding to go ahead and make a couple changes, and explain my reasoning. (Wall of text ahead- for the summary, skip to the bottom) ------------- When its all said and done, I want to create and release a product that I am happy with and that I am proud to put my name on. Anything less than that is unacceptable. So that leads me to my first change. 1) Future hiring will not be as focused on providing a certain number of photos as it will be about the quality of the photos. There will still be more than enough shots of you and your team, but I refuse to be less selective and release work that I think is sub par simply so I can hit a quota. (Future hiring only, if we have already agreed to a number, the deal still stands) I love what I do, and I am so appreciative that you support me enough that I am able to say that this is my job. That goes to everyone, even those who have not hired me. I cannot express the amount of joy I feel with every new like on the page, watching the number creep toward 1,000. Which then leads me to #2. 2) I will be more restrictive in the number of teams that hire me per event, for multiple reasons. One is so that I can be sure that anyone who I agree to shoot receives their moneys worth, and that if there are any adjustments or switches in the schedule, there is no chance of anyone falling through the cracks. The second reason is so that I can get out there and shoot all of you. If you make that move, get shot in the face, or superman dive, I want to be able to catch that. I want to make everyone look good. I want people to look though the album, hoping to see one shot of them, or get a glimpse of themselves in the background, and have them find it. I want everyone to get excited for my albums, not just the people who paid me, because you all helped me get where I am. I believe that both of these changes will allow me to provide a better service to everyone, and that I will benefit from this, just as you will, by helping me get back into the spirit and mindset that got me into this in the first place. Look for a new energy going forwards, but still the same guy out there, making you look good. -------------- TL;DR (Too Long; Didnt Read) Im changing 2 things: 1) Hiring focused on quality, not quantity, so pics are even better 2) Being hired by fewer teams, more pictures of all of you These changes will improve everything, thanks for your support.
