Okay, I owe a vote of deep sympathy to everyone I have ever known who has back problems. I went to get out of a chair yesterday and -- oh my -- a sudden sproinging sensation in my lower crack, quickly followed by a howling, awful, agonizing, pain sensation. Today, my 91-year old Mama is sprier than I am. I cant stand still, I cant sit down. I can circle like an old dog, or I can actually lie down, although getting onto a bed or, even more interesting, getting off a bed is a challenge. My darling Paul blithely pronounced that I have blown a disc in my lower back and will probably be this way for the rest of my life. My response was not charitable.
