Okay Jeepers, here is the breakdown for Area-7. For all of you - TopicsExpress

Okay Jeepers, here is the breakdown for Area-7. For all of you that have never heard of Area-7 it is 30 acres that was donated to Georgia Jeepers for wheeling and our community outreach. We have made a one way trail through about 15 acres of the 30 with some pretty fun and technical obstacles along the way. Although the property is a work in progress and we are still in the phase of getting it all ready for everyone to wheel it, there are days where we have work days and spontaneous wheeling.. A couple of weeks ago we had a ride out there to support a Jeep family to raise money to help them with a life flight and hospital bill for their daughter. Georgia Jeepers members and others who donated to the web page for the family were able to raise close to 2500.00.. Is that not Awesome! But at the end of the muddy day we had Walton County Police at the entrance if the gate with 2 or more fire trucks, seems people that live on the road were calling in with complaints about tracking all the mud on to the street. We had one of our very own jeepers who did not live far from there leave and go get his skid steer and bucket and scrape the road but the guys from road and bridges had to come out and see how he wanted to handle the situation.. Well thank GOD that He had a storm that night prepared for us, because if is was not going to rain they would have had to use the water from the fire trucks to clean off the road and Georgia Jeepers would have had a quite large fine and bill. But as once again, we were blessed with calm nerves on both sides and no fines or tickets were given out and the rain took care of the rest. Now to address the issue at hand.. Last week we posted a meeting over breakfast to discuss how we could fix the issue of the driveway and parking area and a possible pressure washing area. After we had the talk we all then went out to have a look at the property, after looking and talking with people in the construction world we are in need of what they call a construction entrance that means large chunks of rock like number 3s or 4s will have to be brought in as well as a new drain pipe. As for the rest of the drive way up to the parking area and the washing station we will need gravel there as well. So, here is what we are looking to do as a Georgia Jeepers Goal. As many of you know we do not have dues or fees the club is free, but there are times when we reach out to you to help us, and in return this will help you and others.. We are asking for donations to help with the cost of rock and labor of the machines to do this. There are several people that are willing to jump on this issue quick one of them is Justin Bailey who owns Bailey Construction & Landscape Group, Inc. and is willing to donate machines and other help to fix this issue, we also have Teri Harris Anglin with Harris Trucking that is willing to help out as well, she has the dump trucks we need to haul the gravel. The donations that we are asking for is to help with the gravel and fuel cost and misc expense. We are looking to raise up 2000.00 to complete this and will have every single receipt open for anyone who would like to see where the donations are going. We know not everyone lives in the Oxford area where the property is, but we also know that we have close if not at 8000 members. Even if we could get 2000 of them to send in 1.00 we would have the money to fund this. Guys, God has blessed this club with the free property, free rock delivered to the property, free machines, free wood, stuff like that you just dont hear about these days, God is GOOD and he has no doubt blessed this club again and again.. but now we need you.. Can you help donate to Area-7? If so and you feel it in you to give please go to our website at georgiajeepers.org make a profile and then click on the link that says donate and when you add it in there using the pay pal account that is set up, please add in Area 7 so we will know where it needs to be sent. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
