Okay boys. I need some opinions, I am working on a future film series featuring female directors, and primarily female leads. Although I favor some female directed male leads. Im interested in making this series because I am a fan of Sofia Coppola and Kathryn Bigelow and Im having a lot of fun exploring other estrogen driven films; interesting fact, I have yet to cross a chick-flick in my research. Anyway, I would like a little male input. I only have about five films so far, all fairly new, I need some more leads, but Id like to know if any of you have seen any of these and what you thought of them. The Poker House, starring Jennifer Lawrence, directed by Lori Petty. Marie Antoinette, Kirsten Dunst, Sofia Copolla Ginger & Rosa, Elle Fanning, Sally Potter Thirteen, Evan Rachel Wood, Catherine Hardwicke Im torn between Bigelows Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt Locker. Jeremy Renner doesnt fit the female lead criteria but his character demonstrates a point I have about leads directed by females.
