Okay, everyone in Facebookland, hold on to your seats...youll never guess what happened to me this morning. Nope, I didnt win the lottery. Nope, I didnt buy a house. Nope, I didnt even get 50 cents per gallon off my gas purchase. At 9:30, I was leaving the South Side Starbucks on Carson Street in Pittsburgh. As I went to run across the street, I pushed off with my left foot, heard and felt a POP, felt something roll up, kind of like an old-time window shade or the end of a reel of film, and just about passed out from some intense pain. I drove myself to UPMC Mercys ER, hobbled to the ER entrance, and, after several hours, learned that I had torn muscle(s) in my left calf and probably snapped a ligament and/or tendon. I have an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon Thursday morning to see how much damage I actually did. That bad boy is one sore and swollen puppy right now, but the ER doc said, Just wait. Itll get worse, and itll turn colors, because its severely bruised. Yay?!? = / Prayers and/or positive thoughts are once again appreciated. Thanks in advance, yall! = ) *bear hugs* PS I have a standard...you clutch with your left foot...YOWZA!!!!!!!
