Okay...here I go again: I live in a very small town, might be 2,000 people here...everyone who is my age and can work..drives anywhere from 1 to 2 hours to get to a job and the same back home......last year..I think their was only around 20 seniors that graduated here...and they of course had to move from here to get a job....we have so many empty store here.... and of course everyone has to drive 30 to 40 minutes out of town to buy any clothes, shoes or other things that is needed or required....we have 3 red lights....1 grocery store(Piggly Wiggly) which is really high on everything....2 dollar stores.....1 hardware store....1 pharmacy...and two months ago..they closed our hospital, so we have to go out of town for doctors and hospitals....we have 4 beauty shops and 1 barber shop.....hardees, and 4 little restaraunts....we spend more money going out of town to go buy the things we need then some of us can really afford...the folks that make the decisions for our town have money, so they always vote not to let anything new come in here....folks we are losing our town...I wish this town would pull together and open the empty stores here, put our money back into our town.......we would love to have a which means the person that opens the store.place to go buy jeans and tops at a reasonable price....which means, a price that they can make a living at, but not rob people so that they feel like they cold just go back out of town again.....this town needs to love each other and come together to help each other, not to rob each other...this town is going to be a ghost town if folks dont over-ride a lot of their greed and hostile feelings and try once again to make this town one that the folks going to the beach or other places will want to stop and look around and just maybe, buy something....also why cant we have a nice motel, one that actually looks nice and friendly to stay in , it dont have to be big and fancy....just encouraging for travelers to want to stop and rest and maybe take a walk around ..and buy something and then they could tell someone about us and so on.......because we also need work around here also, this would help our teens sooo much and proably a lot of our elderly who still want to work some, but not drive tooo far....ok...Sorry this is sooo long...but I am concerned about our town.....by the way....sometimes bartering is a good thing,also!
