Okay here is the dog treat recipe. I make it in the processor. You could use a stand mixer. 4 c whole wheat floor, 2 c oatmeal, 1-3 T cinnamon (I use 1) 1 T ground clove, 2 T honey, 2 T veg oil. Optional 1/4 c minced apple or apple sauce. Mix all together. Add 1 to 1 1/2 c warm water until dough comes together. If too sticky add some white flour. This has to be "roll-able." Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. I do this in two pieces. Slide onto a cookie sheet. Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut into squares. No need to separate them. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 min. Leave in closed oven for a few hours or overnight checking to see if dry and hard. One benefit of this recipe is that it will make your entire house smell GREAT for a day or two. And our doggie drools for these. Yours will too.
