Okay, how are you doing with Feel Good Friday? Here is this weeks menu for healthy eating on Friday so you can shop and plan. Get your whole family involved. Lets Feel Good!! Breakfast: Fruit Salad--choose a pre made fresh fruit salad or make your own, either way, just make sure it is made with fresh fruits and nothing else. Have a large helping, no dressings or toppings. Snack: Celery and Nut Butter. Can be any type, Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, Cashew Butter. Best if it is the fresh ground, natural type bought at Organic Roots (where you grind your own and it comes out warm, yum!) or Sprouts. Lunch: Turkey Pita Sandwich. Turkey slices and as many fresh veggies as you can stuff into a whole wheat pita half. Its great with tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, alfalfa sprouts, sunflower seeds and a bit of mustard. No cheese or mayo. Snack: Low Fat Cottage cheese. About a 1/2 cup Dinner: Crock Pot roast and veggies. You choose whether you would like to cook a whole chicken, beef or pork roast. Cut up some fresh veggies to throw in and cook it all day. Add a fresh salad with either low fat Italian dressing or balsamic vinegar dressing and dinner is served. Enjoy!
