Okay it is a top of my head blowing off morning. First call on - TopicsExpress

Okay it is a top of my head blowing off morning. First call on voice mail about kittens whose mother was killed 2 days ago, left out in these cold nights and now I am being asked to do something immediately. Really !!! When I asked what has been done for the kittens there were 50 reasons why this person had not been able to do anything and little concrete information on what was going on with the kittens at this time. including if they were still alive. God forgive me but some days I do not UNDERSTAND some peoples expectations of what the Sanctuary can do and how much heartache I can personally deal with. Step up, those of you who are involved in this kind of a situation, make an effort to save some lives, then call me for help. I can not be everywhere, every time, and just making a phone call is NOT enough. Pick these helpless babies up, put them somewhere warm, make an effort to feed them, do not leave them in the hands of someone you have already stated hates cats and has a dog that hates cats. How much success does that situation offer neonatal babies. I try to help every little life I can but the truth is I can not save them all. So before I can intervene, if I can intervene for Heavens sakes DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN JUST CALL ME!!!!! I got 12 calls for help with kittens just yesterday multiply that by 7 days a week all with expectations of not having to do anything but call me. We try to offer help in many forms starting with PLEASE SPAY YOUR FEMALE CATS at our low cost clinic, so this does not happen, and dont tell me it is not my cat. If it lives on your farm or your back porch SPAY HER, she is not going to not have kittens because she is NOT YOUR CAT. We even sponsor spays and neuters through our TNR and sponsored cats funds, so there really is no excuse. If you can afford cigarettes, beer , and a family night at the movies or dinner out at McDonalds you can drive you cat out here to be spayed or neutered and be a part of the solution to all this suffering. I am now going to get to work taking care of the 27 baby kittens that have been brought to the Sanctuary, the 169 cats who live here permanently, the 40 in the adoption center and the 189 dogs happily living here waiting for homes. Think about that number when you decide all you need to do to help is CALL ME!!!!!
