Okay, its about that time where April rants a little bit about current things in her heart. 1. I am sick of the church watering God down. Watering sin down. Watering the bible down. Making everything sound appealing and making everyone feel justified in their sin. Im sick of the church giving off a message that if you just come to church every Sunday and give some money to people in need every now and again then you are set. Golden. You may now lay in your bed peacefully at night because you are a good person. Wrong. Its hot or cold. You are completely sold out to Jesus or you are not. You are abandoned to Him, to His plan, to His heart or you are just another person sold to this world. People, stop making excuses for your sin, stop being a victim and be a CONQUEROR. Church, stop trying to make the gospel so relevant to todays crowd by watering down the truth of God. Lets be real. Living a life for Jesus is not the easiest thing or the safest thing and the devil is CONSTANTLY trying to destroy you. Why are Christians so afraid to say this? Instead we try to get people to Jesus by saying He will make them feel good. Youre life will get easier. God will bless you. Yes, all of these things are so true, but a life given to Jesus is also a life full of trial, sacrifice, danger, and walking blind. We wonder why churches in America arent growing. People literally pay money to do dangerous things yet we cant even get people in church. People. Dont. Want. Safe. Us as humans are NOT made to live a safe and boring life. Look at the disciples in the bible. Look at Pauls life. God calls us to GREAT things. Adventures. Sacrifice. Those moments where you think, I have no idea what is about to happen and Im a little scared, but man, is life an adventure. So why are we watering God down to this safe and boring lifestyle?
