Okay okay. Since i cant pretend to not notice all 3 tags by Wong Shu MinLecia Yee and Michelle Chan. Heres my response to the #bookbucketchallenge In no order of discovery or merit. 1) Kamus Dewan. Id put a LOT of these in a bucket, or maybe 2, and dump them on top of pretentious malays with terrible malay, those who despite favouring english all the time, sound like kambings tryna sound posh. 2) The Quran. Perpetual inspiration. I wont pretend to know all thats in it. But hey. Im learning. 3) Ikea catalogues, the ikea ppl. Well its a book sorta. I like looking at furniture. 4) The Time Is Now, Pauline Mclynn. Profound epitome of the human condition. Equal parts humour and wit, very intelligent questions, very original writing. 5) Missing you already, Pauline Mclynn. A mother with alzheimers and a daughter with an affair. Contemplation of life with such a balanced, genuine and original reflective voice. 6) Harry Potter series, JK Rowling. Its okay im not ashamed to declare it. Even without the fantasy bit its a captivating narrative thats above the use of cheap annoying plot twists. 7) Korea level 1 Cuz it made Running Man a lot easier to watch. 8) This Is where I Leave You, Jonathan Tropper. A laugh at every page. A good mix of in-your-face kind of humour and the oh-i-get-it-after-5seconds kind of humour. Original writing. 9) Slaughterhouse 5, kurt vonnegut. Didnt finish it, would like to. I dont often retry. Hm. What else. 10) My own unfinished book. Its been sticking around with me anw. Hence i now nominate Ibro A KarFarah RosalanSheila OmarIka FairuzahQistina SaimManjeeta Syahidah Zainudin Abdul MuizIf yall feel like it, go ahead with your books and a little reason why theyve stuck with you. Have fun!
