Okay, serious discussion here guys and gals. How willing are you to change the structure of your beliefs and ritual as new information is gained? I admit, when i first started heathenry, I did the hammer sign. In each corner.... and above and below >_> But, as I learned, I took a razor to my structure and removed what was newage bullshit. Is there anything you do that you KNOW is not historically accurate? If so, what, and why? I clap my hands before starting a ritual or faining, and spread my hands to the side. Why? Honestly? Because sumo wrestlers do it to show the gods they are empty handed. I like the way that sounds. Clap your hands to get their attention, and show you are not armed. So, what about you guys? And yes, I know im asking for opinions, and no, I wont argue anyone here ;) Just explain why you do what you do :P
