Okay, so, Cecil and I went to The Village Baker for supper in our sweet little town of Spring Lake. A young man of 16 approached our table and said he would like to show us a little trick, so I said, Sure, go ahead. He gave me a piece of paper and asked me to write down the name of somebody with whom I have a strong connection, somebody other than my hubby whom hed just met. He turned his back and looked at the ceiling. I wrote the name of my best friend, Deb, only I wrote Debbie. I said, Okay, Im done. He instructed me to fold the paper in half then in half again and then he turned around and took the folded piece of paper and said, As you can see the name is completely hidden from me. He then handed the paper to Cecil and instructed him to keep it hidden, as in maybe put it under the table or something, out of sight. He then said, Okay, I believe this name has six letters. I think it ends with, hmmm, let me see, two vowels, perhaps and ie. In an attempt not to give away anything in my facial expression, I didnt nod or anything. He then said, Hm, I believe it starts with a d and it has a double consonant in the middle--ummm--bb, Id say. I believe the name is Debbie. Cecil and I looked at each other then at him and asked, How did you do that? He laughed and said, My secret. Whuuuut? How DID he do that? On the way home, I tried it with Cecil. Didnt work. Haha. Weird.
