Okay, so I have two hives right now. One is a Langstroth with a big, very healthy colony in it. One is a KTB with...nothing in it. I put some lemongrass oil and a little honey in my KTB, but so far its been pretty rainy and I havent seen any action. What are the odds that a swarm just smells the deliciousness of my empty hive and shows up? Is that wishful thinking? Is there anything I can do to encourage my Langstroth to split?
