Okay, so I totally meant to tell you something that happened before we left on vacation last week. So I’m packing alllllllll the shit we need on our trip, and if youve ever traveled with kids, you know that the job of packing for a family is more painful than being strung up by your eyelids. Like seriously, if someone gave me the choice between packing for a vacation and being strung up by my eyelids, I would seriously have to think about it for a few minutes. Wait, no I wouldn’t, I’d pick the eyelids for sure. Anyways, for days I’m writing things down on post-it notes. Don’t forget Holden’s blankie. Don’t forget the kids’ swim goggles. Don’t forget nighttime pull-ups, granola bars, toddler toothpaste, the sound machine, nightlights, phone chargers, to feed the cat, etc etc etc. Anways, in the middle of this painful task, my sweet sweet hubby makes me the most wonderful offer ever. HUBBY: Honey, I can help. If you just put everything on the bed, I’ll put it all into the suitcase for you. I mean part of me was like awwww, that is so sweet that he wants to help. And by part of me I mean like .006%. Because the other 99.994% was like seriously? SERIOUSLY?! You’re really going to lift up all of those heavy t-shirts and bathing suits and do the crazy hard task of putting them INTO the suitcase for me? Well, thank God because that is definitely the hard part about packing up the family. The lifting of the items into the suitcase. Anyways, I thought you would appreciate that story. Ahhh, husbands. They’re so helpful sometimes, it hurts.
