Okay, this is the positively, absolutely,without a doubt possibly the last delve into my personal vault I will publish. I have done what others have done and added all my numbers and came up with a whopping 17! Here goes! #1 I eat food in cycles. Right now my food of choice is Latte Greek Yogurt. I buy all I can find, and eat very little else. Sometimes its cereal, other times its creamy chicken ramen noodles. I always have room for BBQ ribs. #2 I seriously do not like my husband. He has been My Own True Love since I was 15 years old, but his personality and mine are on complete different ends of the spectrum. #3 My husband is a hoarder. He has gotten so out of control I will not allow people into my home unless its absolutely necessary. He has four storage buildings and three rooms crammed floor to ceiling, wall to wall with stuff, and another huge building under construction. #4 I am supposed to be wheelchair bound, but simply cannot get in the mindset. I have a manual wheelchair, two electric and access to a third but cannot-will not climb in! #5 I am the mother of two sons, no daughters, two grandsons, no granddaughters. I have another grandchild due in May. Deep down inside I really hope its another boy because Im afraid I might show favoritism to a girl. I love my two little boys so much, and I never want to hurt their feelings. Also, I have no idea how to hep potty train a girl. Karen Edwards was the last one I helped out with, and I was about 16! #6 I stole an orchid from a cemetery one time off a fresh grave, on a dare. I was dared to go at 2 am alone, with not even a flashlight, take a fresh flower from a grave for proof I had been there. I did it with no trouble, except my guilt. I took the orchid back the next day. #7 My friends and I used to buy so much tequila for the Talladega race we had to use hand-trucks to get it all to the car! Now, I occasionally sip a wine cooler or glass of wine, but nothing else. #8 I have my bff, always will, but one person I feel is a very good friend is someone I have never met, never will, and she lives one day and two seasons ahead of me. I met her on Facebook playing farmville. She still plays, I quit two years ago. #9 I cannot, will not jump or dive into a body of water. If I cannot walk out into it, I wont get in. I swam out to the diving platform on Cheaha one day in the 70s, climbed up the ladder and spent the afternoon with my friends stressing over how I would get back in the water. When Shelby et.al. decided to go back to shore, they jumped. I climbed back down the ladder! Humiliated. #10 This is crazy. This is something I have never told a soul. Not because of humility or embarrassment, but because it would not interest anyone. Here goes: when I was 7 years old I read the correct words for genitalia. I wrote then down on a teeny-tiny piece of paper and kept it in my underwear drawer. It gets better! Some afternoons after school I would take my piece of paper to the woods, to Heart Pond and practice saying them, mispronouncing them miserably. Rhymed with magna a nd Dennis. I was nasty! #11 A week before I started school my nosiness caused me to mash the end of my right bird finger off in a door. I seriously thought I was going to die. Mother put me in the tub to wash me off for my trip to the er. I was watching the bloody water go down the drain thinking Id be buried by my little brother who had died shortly after birth a year before. Didnt die, just got a claw for a finger. #12 A tornado literally picked me up and carried me through the air when I was 5. #13 We moved into the house i grew up in when I was 5 months old. Not until I was a tween did we realize our house was haunted by Miss Ida Groce Priebe. She was murdered there in the 40s. #14 When I was in nursing school I got a perm in my hair, got up for school and looked like Id stuck my finger in a light switch. Had to call in sick and cried all day! #15 I have one tattoo, a honeybee on my left hand. Ill get another to honor my grandchildren after Baby Bump is born. #16 I make the best potato salad to ever ride a fork! #17, last but not least, I collect vintage brooches and animal planters, my favorite a Bambi that was given away when the movie was released in a theater near you.. No more! Please!
