Okay, to me this is kind of funny. For the first time, Im undertaking this journey of looking back at the past year, thinking of making changes next year (no time left in the last one, lol), and its so new to me that Im kind of lost! :) Ive been very busy, and my mind tries to go to the urgent tasks of the next few days, while my heart and spirit need to address more important matters. The life change thing has been number one on my plate for a couple of months now. I recently read TD Jakes book Instinct and have learned a lot about myself. Several months ago the Lord taught me a very important lesson: with spiritual maturity comes the expectation that God will no longer lead me every step, but he expects me to take steps myself. Finally, psalm 37:4. God will give you the desires of your heart. Truly accepting this promise, without placing myself in a prison of refusal to trust that my desires are from God and aligned with his own, is my greatest obstacle and opportunity; the Lord has shown me this. Any suggestions, your experiences, the process you go through on new years? Marlene Akins Lynch shared a good one: word of the year. Sheryl Spellings shared a discouraging fortune Cookie, lol. I learned a good lesson from the Lord, Chuck Swindoll, and a beef quesadilla yesterday (on my timeline). God causes all things. Im literally feeling deadline pressure on this! Isnt that funny?
