Okie dokie.....yours truly decided to venture off the Westside today to go to Kapolei. What a NIGHTMARE!! First of all, traffic going off coast was backed up to Piliokahe for....(guess what)...yep! State DOT was mowing the damn grass by Kahe Pt. Left lane closed for MILES....so traffic was backed up so everyone could merge into right lane. HOWEVER there was an HPD officer there so someone (yep-me again) yelled at him to open the lane so traffic could clear....and HE DID!! Coming back (about 1 pm) same thing however since ts not a school day traffic was moving (slow but moving) and the same HPD officer was monitoring the traffic now on the westbound side and waved at me :) So....when I got back to the office....I did some research to discover who we could credit this stupid project that requires that grass be mowed.......to my surprise its someone currently running for office! My suggestion to you all is.....do your homework BEFORE you vote!!!
