Oklahoma is ranked 49th in the nation in per pupil expenditures. Oklahoma teacher pay is 49th in the nation and last in our region. Since the 2008-2009 school year, Oklahoma public schools’ budgets have been cut over $200 million, yet they serve approximately 40,000 more students. Since the 2008-2009 school year, there are 1,500 fewer teachers, resulting in larger class sizes with less time for individual attention with students. So to you senators, representatives, governor and state superintendent that think you can give our kids a Cadillac quality education on a Kia budget, dont expect my vote!
