Omar Govt. guilty of the death of innocent youth in J&K : Bhim Singh => Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party and Member of National Integration Council has blamed the Omar Abdullah government running on the crutches of the Congress for the bloodshed and killing of the innocent youth and citizens for the past four years. Condemning strongly the killing of two youth in Baramullah District couple of days ago, Prof. Bhim Singh said that there was no necessity to call in the Army to control law and order situation as ‘law and order’ falls strictly within the state list. The Omar Abdullah should have deployed the state police and security apparatus to control law and order situation. Calling in the Army to play the role of the state police proves without an iota of doubt that the State government has failed to function in accordance with the Constitution. He said that the State has been using pepper-bullets against the youth and the students which are poisonous and cause several effects on the human body. Nowhere in the world such bullets are permitted to be used by the state against its own citizens except in Israel and J&K. Prof. Bhim Singh accused the Chief Minister for using ‘Israel manufactured’ pepper-loaded bullets against human beings in J&K which are against the letter and spirit of the human rights of the people as enshrined in the Constitution of India. Alas, he said, there are no human rights provided in the Constitution of J&K and that is the reason that people of J&K has been killed like pigeons by the power that be in the state. Prof. Bhim Singh said that he has been facing all this kind of state aggression against him and his colleagues fighting for justice and equity in the state against all odds for half a century. Prof. Bhim Singh has demanded an enquiry by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court about the circumstances that led to the killing of 120 youth in 2010 including those who were killed this month in J&K including the policemen, army men and the civilians so that the truth is established. Prof. Bhim Singh urged Mr. N.N. Vohra, the Governor of J&K to dismiss Omar government without any delay to save J&K from further death and destruction.
