Omigosh I had the most beautiful gorgeous amazing day yesterday - TopicsExpress

Omigosh I had the most beautiful gorgeous amazing day yesterday learning about some of the history of Aputerewa and the church (Te Ahere Kaitiaki) and our whakapapa, absolutely priceless. Thank you so much to our Nanny, our aunties, our uncles, and Dad, for sharing your stories and memories with us. Thank you aunty JudyAnn, aunty Aroha, and Dad for the stunning presentations, slideshows and booklets. Thank you so much to all the cooks and cleaners, your mahi was very much appreciated. It was lovely meeting even more of the whanau and learning how were all connected. For me personally, my whakapapa is the foundation to my identity of who I am, who I came from, and how I am connected to the land. This wananga has filled in so many gaps for me and I feel so spoilt to have been given this taonga and will treasure it forever, sharing it with my children and their cousins. I was going to put some other photos up but decided against it because they are my memories and I dont want them to be public property. To any whanau that couldnt make it to the wananga Im happy to go through my booklets with you over dinner at my house, let me know. Sending love to everyone xoxo. #ERIHE
