Omm Sety, shown in this video, was born Dorothy Louise Eady, in London January 16, 1904. She believed that in a previous life she had been Bentreshyt, a priestess in ancient Egypt, at the time of Seti I, and in fact had been his lover. When she became pregnant and told the High Priest who the father was, he informed her that the gravity of the offence against Isis was so terrible that death would be the most likely penalty at a trial. Unwilling to face the public scandal for Seti, she committed suicide rather than face trial. Dorothy changed her name to Omm Sety (Mother of Seti) and came to Abydos, where she lived out her life at the temple. She was an excellent historical researcher and of great assistance to the archaeologists. She was an official draughtswoman for the Department of Egyptian Antiquities. She was Keeper of the Abydos Temple and guided people through the temple complex, often barefoot and waving incense. She guided the excavators to where ancient gardens and other part of the temple were buried; when they dug in those places, they found what she had described to them. Omm Sety passed from this earth plane at Abydos on April 21, 1981. Her life and work has been the subject of many articles, television documentaries, biographies. A New York Times article described her life story as one of the Western Worlds most intriguing and convincing modern case histories of reincarnation. Well visit the location where Omm Sety lived in Abydos during our Sacred Journey of Initiation, November 2 - 16, 2014 with Mark Amaru Pinkham, author of The Return of the Serpents of Wisdom and SSJs Director and Ceremonials for the journey Andrea Mikana-Pinkham.
