On 13th September Andrew Norman, Phil Shapley, Sharky Jones and I will be Four Men Up a Mountain, as we race, headlong up Pen y Fan. Racing may be a tad of an exaggeration (anyone who knows me will agree!) however this is our opportunity to do something small in support of the Alzheimers Society and those suffering with Dementia. I, like I’m sure many of you, have first hand experience of how Dementia and Alzheimer’s can affect an individual and those close to them. What we are doing is by no means an extreme test of human endurance, however it is our way of trying to help raise money for a real worthwhile cause. Alzheimers Society is the leading UK care and research charity for people with Alzheimers disease and other Dementias, their families and carers. We know that even the smallest donation will make a real difference, you might even say an immeasurable difference, to the people whose lives are touched by Alzheimers. We certainly dont expect donations, and would never badger anyone to do so, however if you feel that you are in a position where you are both inclined and able to support Alzheimers Society, even the smallest donation would be very, very much appreciated.
