~ On 17 December 1967 the Beatles invited Fan Club Area Secretaries from all over the U.K. to London for a special screening of MMT at Hanover Grand in London. Forty secretaries plus their guests travelled to London, all expenses paid. After the movie they were ushered into a reception room where they were offered tea and an assortment of cream cakes. ~ ~ Whilst drinking tea and eating the cakes, John and George came in - no one was expecting that to happen! The attendees chatted with John and George over tea before seeing the film The Beatles At Shea Stadium. Ringo was still in Rome filming Candy and Paul was up in Scotland so both missed this special get together ~ ~ Everyone there received their Christmas flexi-disc which was also sent out to the Fan Club members ~ A splendid time was guaranteed for all ~
