On 22 March, 2014, On the occasion of World Water Day, The theme of World Water Day 2014 brings to light the interdependence of water and energy. The Youth Awareness Environmental Forum (YAEF/Nepal) is joining the United Nations and people around the world to raise a common voice to celebrate Water. Youth Awareness Environmental Forum (YAEF/Nepal) established community radio –Environment Cycle Radio F.M.104.2MH z has been broadcasting water-related slogans March21, 22 and 23, every day 18 hour daily. On March 22, 2014 the forum established Water Forum Nepal organized press visited programmed in the Lalitpur Godawari Area-Which area is major water resources area and nature heritage side in the Kathmandu Valley and it is also holds major source of drinking water for Lalitpur and is desperate need of sustainable development for its preservation and promotion. This side is a very important and crucial area of Kathmandu valley.Godawari area is rich in biodiversity and water heritage side of Nepal. Youth Awareness Environmental Forum (YAEF/Nepal) is a community based non-profit media membership organization, established in 1994 A.D. This YAEF is registered according to law of press and publication act 2049 B.S. This YAEF is an association which is concerned with motivates environmental awareness in the masses and performs social work. It is not a normal NGO but a medium of communication as well as an organizational forum. YAEF/Nepal is the member of International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), South Asia Youth Environment Network (SAYEN), Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), Community Media Association (CMA), Community Media Forum Europe(CMFE) and World Water Council (WWC),Japan Water Forum (JWF) ,The Water Network, Water Integrity Network (WIN),International Water Association( IWA ),Asia-Pacific Water Forum (APWF) affiliated with United Nation Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and Global Water Partnership (GWP).
