On 26th June-2014, a 64 years old male presented at AREC/ LIVER clinic with H/O biliary plastic stent placement 1 year back, at some institution for distal CBD stricture,of which nature was till now not determined, & pt was also not informed abt the age of stent. Now his all routine investigations were normal including amylae &lipase, & he had pain Rt hypochondrium&epigastrium. During ERCP, stent was found blocked, & removed. The ampulla had abnormal fungating tissue at orifice, that showing normal texture on i-scan. Multiple biopsies of that tissue taken. After cannulation, guide-wire passed into the CBD., & then, the contrast was injected. The CBD was grossly dilated with dilated IHBCs as well. The pancreatic duct was also mildly dilated. The CBD had some indentation in the lower part. A plastic biliary stent of size 7cm X 10 0F passed over the guide wire into the CBD successfully, through which free flow of bile seen.
