On 8/7/14 at approximately 10 p.m., deputies from the Eaton County - TopicsExpress

On 8/7/14 at approximately 10 p.m., deputies from the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office, working in the area of Waverly & Jolly as part of the Capitol Area Violent Crime Initiative, made a traffic stop at Anson & Maybel in the City of Lansing. One male juvenile aged suspect fled from the stop on foot and has not yet been located. A second male juvenile suspect fought with deputies and was taken into custody. Deputies recovered a handgun from the car, and also located evidence of drug distribution. Several charges will be requested as a result of this case, including Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Violation of the Controlled Substance Act, and Resisting & Obstructing. This investigation of this incident is ongoing.
