On Dec. 29, AXS TV will air Def Leppard: The Day Of Hysteria, a 12-hour marathon, including a TV premiere Of Def Leppard: Viva! Hysteria Although the year is winding down, the music keeps rockin at AXS TV. Def Leppard will take over the network on Dec. 29, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT, providing exclusive commentary throughout the days 12 hours of concerts, including the broadcast premiere of the Def Leppard: Viva! Hysteria. Famous for rock classics such as Rock of Ages, Love Bites and Pour Some Sugar on Me, the award-winning band released the concert film, Def Leppard: Viva! Hysteria, nationwide in theaters in October, but now, fans will be able to watch it for the first time on broadcast TV. Filmed earlier this year at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the concert includes a full, front-to-back, live performance of the 12-time platinum album Hysteria, along with many of the bands greatest hits. Viewers will hear first-hand from Def Leppard members, Rick Savage (bass), Joe Elliott (vocals), Rick Allen (drums), Phil Collen (guitar, vocals) and Vivian Campbell (guitar), as they provide behind-the-scenes commentary about the Hysteria album in custom interstitial wraps throughout the marathon. Def Leppard: Viva! Hysteria is part of a marathon dubbed Day of Hysteria that also includes the broadcast premiere of Cheap Trick at Budokan: The 35th Anniversary performance – live from the El Rey Theatre. AXS TV was on hand to film this historic concert shot at Los Angeles El Rey Theatre in April. The Grammy Award-winning band performed the identical set they previously played at their legendary 1978 show in Budokan, Japan. The album, Cheap Trick at Budokan, catapulted the band to super-stardom with such hit singles as I Want You to Want Me and Aint That a Shame. In addition to these two network premieres, the Day of Hysteria marathon also features other concerts, including New York Dolls, Bon Jovi – Lost Highway; Sammy Hagar and Friends; and KISS Monster World Tour: Live From Europe . This show includes tracks spanning his career, including all the classics fans would expect. 5:25 p.m. Sammy Hagar and Friends - Annual Cabo Wabo Birthday Bash - Rock n roll legend Sammy Hagar granted an all-access VIP pass to AXS TV for his much-anticipated 24th Annual Cabo Wabo Birthday Bash at the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The telecast features performances by Hagar and the Wabos, as well as some of the Red Rockers illustrious friends, including Manas Alex Gonzalez, Montroses Denny Carmassi and Chickenfoots Michael Anthony. The band recently re-visited this historic concert, performing the exact set that they did 35 years ago, and AXS TV was there to tape it for fans to enjoy. This edited version is the broadcast premiere and includes top hits, including I Want You To Want Me. (Repeats at 2:55 a.m.) 11:15 p.m. KISS Monster World Tour: Live from Europe concert - AXS TV was on the scene to tape KISS Zurich concert in May. This edited concert featured new staging, lighting and pyrotechnics as part of the bands performance. (Repeats at 1:30 a.m.).
